Auditions
We are pleased to announce the next auditions for the 2008 to 2009 concert season. If you are interested, you do not need to prepare music ahead of time. Simply come on the night to be announced in January. There is a short audition form that you will need to fill out. The auditions will not take more than an hour and begin at 7:00.
December Concert
The annual Fall concert will include a collection of sacred, secular, and seasonal music that showcases the extraordinary blend of this year’s voices. From Patriotic to Christmas, this concert will be an evening to remember. The concert will be at 7:30 pm at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Florence, South Carolina.
Announcing a new performing group -- The Florence Boy Choir
This year the Florence Men’s Choral Society is pleased to begin the process of organizing a boy choir. Under the baton of Mark Railey with accompanist Ann Rodgers Chandler, the choir will offer the beautiful sounds of male treble voices. The process of creating the choir will last approximately a year. With hard work and a good choir of boys, we hope the first concert will be ready for Christmas of 2009. If you are interested in joining the Florence boy choir or know of someone who should be recommended, please contact Director Mark Railey at rev.railey@gmail.com. More information will be available at a later date.
Booking the Choir
Booking the choir requires the Board’s approval and so give us enough time to meet and discuss your event. Please know that there is typically a cost involved. If you would like to book the Choir please call the director as soon as you know the dates of the occasion. A form will be made available online soon.
